Role Overview :
As a Project Manager, you will be a critical leader in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of significant tourism infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on the Dehradun/Mussoorie Ropeway Project. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :-
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and manage all phases of complex tourism infrastructure projects, from pre-production (budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment) through to final handover.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and cost parameters.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to construction plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site progress reviews, comparing actual performance against targets and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive efficient utilization of construction manpower and resources across multiple projects and locations.
- Manage change effectively to meet project outputs and adapt to evolving requirements.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Actively liaise with the Uttarakhand Government and other regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and ensure compliance.
- Engage and coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and a diverse team of engineers (HVAC, Electrical, Fire-fighting, Lifts/Escalators, Solar-heating, Plumbing, Security, etc.).
- Negotiate and administer contracts with external vendors and multiple contractors to achieve profitable agreements.
- Foster strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients and internal management.
Financial & Risk Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting requirements, tracking expenditures, and analyzing variances.
- Implement robust cost control measures throughout design, estimation, tendering, and execution stages to optimize profitability.
- Identify potential cost overruns proactively and implement timely corrective actions.
- Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate project risks and address potential variances.
- Monitor site safety rigorously, ensuring strict adherence to the company’s HSE policy.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and present accurate project reports on schedule, budget, and progress to internal management and clients.
- Ensure all project-related documentation, including site reports, stakeholder contracts, and regulatory communications, is meticulously documented and archived.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project construction and management, with at least 3-4 years in a Project Manager role for a reputable group.
- Specialized Experience (Mandatory):
- Demonstrated experience with tourism or hospitality infrastructure projects in Uttarakhand.
- Proven track record of successful liaison with the Uttarakhand Government.
