Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Development Engineer with expertise in Yocto to join our team in Whitefield, Bangalore. The candidate will contribute to software integration tasks in a distributed development environment, focusing on building, optimizing, and maintaining Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Develop and optimize Yocto builds using the Yocto build framework and BitBake.

•  Create and maintain Yocto recipes and meta-layers from scratch.

•  Manage source code using Git and Gerrit, including branching, merging, and rebasing.

•  Build, patch, and release software in a Linux environment.

•  Utilize Linux build systems such as Makefiles and CMake.

•  Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Jenkins and Artifactory.

•  Write and maintain scripts in one or more scripting languages (Perl, Shell, or Python).

Required Skills and Experience:

•  3-5 years of experience in software integration and Linux development.

•  Strong expertise in Yocto build systems, BitBake, and build optimization.

•  Proficiency in creating Yocto recipes and meta-layers.

•  Hands-on experience with Git, Gerrit, and version control workflows (branching, merging, rebasing).

•  Solid knowledge of Linux build systems, including Makefiles and CMake.

•  Experience with building, patching, and releasing software in Linux environments.

•  Familiarity with Jenkins and Artifactory for CI/CD processes.

•  Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Perl, Shell, or Python).

Nice-to-Have:
