About the Role
This role combines creative collaboration with strong program and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will work closely with production houses, writers, directors, and creative partners to ensure climate themes are seamlessly woven into compelling stories while overseeing the end-to-end management of funded projects.
The Media Fund Manager will play a key role in balancing creative excellence with operational efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet fund objectives, and create measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities :
Creative Development & Content Integration
- Review scripts, story treatments, and creative proposals to assess narrative quality and opportunities for authentic climate integration.
- Collaborate with writers, directors, producers, and production partners to identify innovative ways of embedding climate themes naturally within storytelling.
- Develop creative briefs and content integration guidelines in partnership with internal research and creative teams.
- Provide constructive editorial feedback to creative teams while respecting artistic vision and maintaining high storytelling standards.
- Participate in creative discussions and represent the fund’s impact objectives with confidence and sensitivity.
- Stay updated on evolving storytelling trends, climate communication, and the broader media landscape to strengthen creative outcomes.
Media Fund & Project Management
- Lead the complete lifecycle of Media Fund projects, from application review and partner onboarding to project completion and final reporting.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, approvals, and milestones to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, communication records, and workflow trackers to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Track project performance, impact metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal leadership and funding partners.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production partners, funding organisations, agencies, and other external stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships through clear, timely, and professional communication.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Creative, Research, Business, Finance, and Legal to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and risk assessments to leadership and key stakeholders.
Review, Compliance & Project Closure
- Evaluate funding applications and creative submissions against the fund’s creative and impact objectives.
- Coordinate with Business and Legal teams to ensure timely completion of contracts, compliance requirements, and project documentation.
- Ensure funded projects meet agreed creative, operational, and reporting standards before successful closure.
- Support continuous process improvement by documenting learnings and recommending enhancements to fund operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media, Mass Communication, Film Studies, Arts, Management, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
- 5–9 years of professional experience in media, entertainment, content partnerships, philanthropy, creative project management, or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of content development, script evaluation, and creative production workflows.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with the confidence to engage with creative professionals and senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, solution-oriented, and capable of managing complex workflows independently.
- A genuine interest in climate communication, social impact storytelling, or purpose-driven media initiatives will be an added advantage.
