Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and results-driven Production Manager to lead and manage end-to-end production operations for television programs, digital media content, and broadcast projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, budgeting, resource management, scheduling, vendor coordination, and on-ground execution while ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high production quality. The role requires close collaboration with creative teams, technical crews, vendors, and senior management to ensure smooth production from pre-production through post-production.
Key Responsibilities :-
1. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage detailed production budgets for television shows, episodes, commercials, and digital media projects.
- Monitor daily production expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising production quality.
- Negotiate commercial terms with vendors for equipment rentals, studio facilities, transportation, accommodation, catering, and other production services.
- Maintain accurate financial records and submit budget utilisation reports to management.
2. Production Planning & Schedule Management
- Develop comprehensive production schedules covering pre-production, shooting, post-production, and final delivery.
- Prepare and implement daily call sheets, shooting schedules, and crew assignments.
- Coordinate with directors, producers, editors, sound designers, VFX teams, and post-production departments to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.
- Ensure timely delivery of all content for broadcast, streaming, or client deadlines.
3. Resource Procurement & Allocation
- Recruit and coordinate technical crew, including camera operators, lighting technicians, sound engineers, production assistants, gaffers, runners, and freelancers.
- Arrange production equipment, studios, shooting locations, vehicles, accommodation, and other operational requirements.
- Obtain necessary shooting permits, location approvals, licenses, and regulatory clearances.
- Manage inventory, equipment transportation, storage, maintenance, and safety throughout the production cycle.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of production resources to maximise efficiency.
4. Operations & On-Set Management
- Oversee day-to-day production activities on studio floors and outdoor locations.
- Ensure smooth execution of shoots by coordinating all production departments.
- Handle real-time operational challenges, including equipment breakdowns, talent availability, weather disruptions, location issues, and schedule changes.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, labor laws, production guidelines, and organisational policies.
- Supervise production teams to maintain high operational efficiency and quality standards.
5. Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between producers, directors, creative teams, technical departments, and executive management.
- Manage talent scheduling, contracts, travel arrangements, and production logistics.
- Coordinate with clients, sponsors, agencies, vendors, and external stakeholders whenever required.
- Provide regular updates on production progress, budget status, operational risks, and project timelines to senior leadership.
- Foster strong working relationships across internal and external teams to ensure successful project execution.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Film Production, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Production Management or Media Production is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in television production, broadcast media, OTT platforms, digital content production, or media houses.
- Proven experience in managing studio productions, live broadcasts, outdoor shoots, and post-production workflows.
- Hands-on experience with production budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, and resource planning.
